My name is Bryan Anthony Merritt. I am 24 years old and live in Pekin, Illinois. I think I am a pretty cool dude, and a handful of people may agree. No one reads this blog, mainly because I don't ever post anything substantive. I am ok with this.
This blog was meant to kick start a transformative period for me, and it has. Faking it until I make it has most definitely worked. Life is finally looking up, and I only have myself to praise for this.
What should be taken from this is that if I can do it, anyone can. I have a small, but solid friend group that loves me. They love me despite the fact that I am not the smartest, sexiest, or funniest guy they know. They disregard my checkered past for the most part, which is exactly what caring people should do.
I started this blog during a really bad time in my life, and it gave me enough confidence to continue going out into the world. There was a time, not long ago, that I wanted to leave this beautiful plane of existence. I wanted to be anyone but me, now I can't imagine my life without my mistakes.
In short, I am awesome, not because I am but because I say I am.
